Naval Mine Park again.

I am getting a better sense of where I need to go now that I’ve spent a fair number of hours getting reacquainted with this. It’s been tough focusing on it because of the current writing projects and also just because more and more ideas for paintings keep interrupting my focus. But here I have added a MOAB in the background that I’ll get to work detailing once it dries. I still am not sure if I want to add one more kid in the foreground or if it’ll just make things too busy. I do think it could create some interest in the foreground, but, honestly, I think the boy up on top of the Naval Mine is waving at the viewer. That’s the person’s attention he wants. Is it his mom or dad? Is it some other kid he wants to join him? I don’t know. It’s probably me. I think all those kids are me. Who else am I allowed to paint anyway?
